Description

View of the Tower of the Oratory in Vincennes, with an inscription indicating that it was the gate through which the Duke of Enghien was taken to the moats of the castle where he was executed. The back shows a handwritten letter dated October 13, 1917, sent to Friedrich Jaditton in Mérignac (Gironde), with a 3.9 franc postage stamp and a postmark from Malent, near Paris.
