View of the Old Castle Esplanade in Vire, with its ruins on top of a steep promontory, surrounded by tree-lined avenues. Printed text refers to the magnificence of the site and the history of the castle rebuilt in the 12th century by Henry I and only slightly demolished by Richelieu. Reverse: handwritten correspondence addressed to Madame Porzay in Paris, green 20-centime postmark, cancellation from Carollles (Manche) dated 11.11.1911.
