View of the feudal castle of Vitre, dating from the 11th century, with its towers and ramparts, viewed from the Paris-Brest road. On the reverse, handwritten text addresses the card to 'Dear camp - Rep. inter. - Old Vitre (Mayenne) - Rep. inter. - New Galleries Collection' and mentions 'Cl. A. Dupont - Mayenne - New Galleries Collection'. A 10-centime French postage stamp is affixed, canceled at 'Old Vitre' on July 27, 1939.
