View of the western end of the Pont du Gard, with the access staircase and the famous curve added in 1885. Printed text at the bottom: 'West end of the Pont du Gard from which the famous curve of the monument can be seen in its full length. The staircase providing access to the aqueduct was added in 1885, and one can follow its trace in the direction of the northwest when climbing the last step. Marked by numerous still-standing arches.' Reverse: green 10c stamp, postmark 'NIMES 28 JUILLET 1907', handwritten correspondence to Mr. and Mrs. Faure-Fremig in Le Croisic, Loire-Inférieure.
