Description

Colored view of the ruins of the old abbey of Walkenried in the Harz, with its impressive Gothic ruin facade and trees in the foreground. The back has a handwritten letter dated April 28, 1900, sent to Ernst Bernhardt in Yula an der Havel, with an 8 pfennig green postmark canceled 'NORD' and the publisher 'Stengel & Co. (Dresden) 1907'.
