Five Welsh women in traditional attire, wearing high hats, are depicted around a large spinning wheel and knitting. The printed text at the bottom of the front indicates 'Welsh Women Spinning and Knitting'. On the reverse, a British postcard with a 1 penny stamp, a cancellation from Carnes 8.4.59, and a handwritten letter addressed to Ambroise Meneffier in Sannois (France).
