Description

Black and white view of a ruined castle on a rocky promontory, next to a timber-framed house with a balcony. The reverse features a handwritten letter dated November 15, 1918, written to a 'dear sister' by a 'Lucien' who mentions his arrival in Alsace and his travel plans. The postmark and cancellation are visible at the top right.
