Black and white view of the village of Zermatt at the foot of the Matterhorn, with church and traditional buildings. Printed text at the bottom: '4824.- Zermatt (1620m) und Matterhorn (4505m)'. Reverse: handwritten letter dated August 12, 1929, sent from Zermatt to Paris, with a Helvetia 20 centimes stamp and a postal mark from Gornergrat.
