Black and white view of the ruins of the Abbey of Longpont, founded by Saint Bernard in 1131, surrounded by greenery and reflected in a pond. The reverse features handwritten text addressed to Mrs. E. Femaure in Les Sables-d'Olonne (Vendée), with a postmark and a 'Vendée' cancellation dated 1936.
