Description

Colorized postcard featuring several views of the abbey and lake, with the inscription 'Souvenir de Haute-Côme' at the top. The reverse indicates that the abbey was founded by Saint Bernard around 1125 and restored from 1825 to 1843, preserving the tombs of the Counts of Savoy. It bears a 20-centime French Republic postmark canceled in Aix-les-Bains on May 19–20, 1954, and a handwritten address to Madame Beichet in Marnill.
