View of the market in Adrar, in the Sudan (Department Saouro), with a long brick façade and arches, under a clear sky. The back bears a handwritten letter addressed to 'grand Bertrand' in Algiers, dated 1920, sent by a correspondent who mentions holidays and good grades. The publisher 'Epra' is visible at the bottom right of the front.
