View of the famous fairy chimneys in Avanos, Turkey, under a blue sky. The back has a handwritten French inscription praising the sensational landscapes and local kindness, addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Lalardie in Chevilly-la-Rue, France. Three Turkish floral stamps (20 and 10 lira) are affixed, with a postmark from Istanbul dated April 10, 1965.
