Postcard illustrating Avignon with its monuments: the ramparts, the Palais des Papes (1334-1352), the Vieux Pont (1177-1185), and the Pont d'Avignon. Printed text at the bottom describes the history of the city. Reverse: handwritten letter dated 1968 sent from Vaucluse to Wetzlar (Germany), French 25-centime postage stamp, postmark 'AVIGNON 22 8 1968'.
