View of the Hall of Memory in Birmingham, a circular monument with a dome, surrounded by urban buildings and a few people. The reverse bears an inscription from the Prime Minister: « This is a time for everyone to stand together and hold firm! » and a handwritten address to Mrs. Bougain in France, with a 2d stamp and a cancellation from Birmingham dated August 17, 1943.
