Description

Black and white view of the Gate of the Palace in Bordeaux, a medieval fortified gate with conical towers and a central passage. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated 19.4.49, sent from Bordeaux to Madame Raoul Serin in Vanves, mentioning a planned lunch on Saturday and an arrival in Paris. Blue 12-cent postage stamp and postmark 'BORDEAUX' with cancellation 'AUX R.P. FRANCE'.
