Description

View of the Monument to the Girondins in Bordeaux, with a statue of an angel at the top of a pillar and sculptures of horses at the base. The reverse indicates that the monument was installed between 1894 and 1902, measures 50 meters in height, and that the basin on the side of the Grand Theatre symbolizes the Triumph of the Republic. It is adorned with 35 figures and 70 bronze pieces, completed in 1984. Postmark 2.20F of the French Republic, cancellation Bordeaux, 24-2-86. Handwritten correspondence to Paris.
