Postcard showing six women wrapped in mud envelopes in front of a Roman aqueduct in Dax. Printed text at the bottom: 'Mud and Thermal Waters for Rheumatics DAX (Landes) We are not Reverend Fathers We will never have a Monastery But like the old Romans You see us coming out of the baths.' Reverse: handwritten letter dated June 18, 1951, signed 'Dax', addressed to 'Dear friends', describing the arrival in Dax, the author's pain, and the qualities of the city.
