Black and white view of the Abbey of Sainte-Maclou in Caen, showing its monumental façade with its two Romanesque towers and a spired bell tower, in front of which an old vehicle is passing. On the reverse, a handwritten letter addressed to Madame R. Serig in Nice, dated 1981, with a blue 12-franc stamp and a cancellation mark 'CAEN 92'.
