View of the Abbey of the Ladies in Caen, with its imposing portal and towers under a cloudy sky. The reverse side features a handwritten letter dated 1951, sent to Madame A. Fostaire in Paris, and a French postage stamp of 0.25 francs canceled in Caen. The publisher is mentioned at the bottom of the reverse: 'Éditions Gaby, Marque Dédiée, Nantes'.
