Description

Postcard showing the locomotive "C.P. Huntington", nicknamed "Pioneer of the Rails", on display at the California State Railroad Museum in Sacramento. The reverse indicates that it was assembled in 1863 in Old Sacramento and was one of the first machines used by the Central Pacific Railroad to complete the first transcontinental railroad.
