Description

Postcard illustrating Cancale with photos of the port, pier, rocks, and Fort-Brise. Printed text on a scroll describing the history of the town, its former name, its bombardment in 1779, and its reputation for oysters. Reverse: handwritten letter sent to Mrs. H. Salvy in Billon, with two French stamps (20 and 100 centimes) and a cancellation from Saint-Michel (Ille-et-Vilaine) on 24 April 1978.
