Description

Panoramic black and white view of the Mer de Glace surrounded by snow-capped mountains, with a tree in the foreground and a few visitors on a path to the right. On the reverse, a handwritten letter addressed to Madame and Monsieur Bainsat in Bois-Colombes, with an 8-franc stamp and a postmark from Chamonix-Mont-Blanc dated May 15, 1952.
