Description

Illustrated postcard depicting the Château de Plessis-Bourré with an exterior view of its pond, a grand Renaissance-style salon, a dining room with sideboard and chandeliers, and a bedroom with a canopy bed. The reverse indicates that the castle was built in 1468 by Jean Bourré, secretary of finance and treasurer of France under Louis XI, and later renovated under Louis XIV.
