Luxurious interior of an antechamber in the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte, decorated by Le Brun for the superintendent Nicolas Fouquet, with black walls, large gilded-framed paintings, marble fireplace, and dark furniture. Reverse: printed text indicating the construction (1656–1661), decoration, and publisher (Mexichrome, photograph by Arnaud Carpentier), with address of the estate in Maincy (Seine-et-Marne).
