Panoramic view of the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte with its central fountain and French-style gardens, under a cloudy sky. The back indicates that the castle was built by Le Vau from 1656 to 1661 for the Superintendent Nicolas Fouquet, with decoration by Le Brun and gardens by Le Nôtre.
