Aerial view of the village of Colmars-les-Alpes, nestled in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, with its scattered houses and a ruined castle in the foreground. The reverse side features a handwritten letter dated 3-9-97, sent by Charles to Jean and Madeleine Thurey in Toulon, describing the quiet holidays spent in the village. A 2.00F postage stamp from 1988 is affixed, with an obliteration 'ALPES DE HAUTE-PROVENCE'.
