Colored view of a street in Edinburgh with stone buildings dating from the 16th century, including John Knox's House. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated 17/8/70 sent to Alain Mutte in Paris, with two 1d stamps and an Edinburgh cancellation. The printed text states that the house was built by a goldsmith for Mary, Queen of Scots, and was later owned by John Knox.
