Description

Black and white view of the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh, with its Gothic ruins and main building, in front of a mountainous landscape. The reverse indicates that this is a Valentine's Card published by Valentine & Sons, Ltd., London and Dundee, with a 2d (revenue) stamp canceled at NEL. The handwritten address is directed to 'Mr. and Mrs. J. Monteyne' in Branskapelle (Nieuwpoort), Belgium, with a note 'Best Scottish Spouse' and 'Robert'.
