View of Elizabeth Castle on Jersey, with the hydrofoil Condor I in motion on the water. The castle, built in the 16th century, occupies a dominant position on an island accessible at low tide. The reverse presents a historical description, two Jersey stamps (2½p and 1p), a Whiteley cancellation, and a handwritten address to Madame Puygrenier in Villemonde (France).
