Description

View of the Pont du Gard, a three-level Roman aqueduct, with imposing arches crossing the Gard valley. Printed text at the bottom of the reverse describing its construction by Agrippa in 12 BC and its dimensions. At the top right, a green 10 franc stamp with an obliteration of 'République Française'. Handwritten message addressed to 'Mme Legrand' in Brecy, Aube, dated 10/1970.
