Description

Panoramic view of Filey in Yorkshire, showing a sandy beach with moored boats and buildings on a hill. The reverse features a handwritten letter dated 22 August 1950, sent from Filey to Mr. J. Julia in Saint-Denis, describing the site as « very pretty » and « typical of England ». Two 1d stamps of George VI are affixed, with a Filey, Yorkshire cancellation.
