Description

Scene of fishermen spreading nets on a beach, with the boat « Ventura do Deus » in the foreground. The reverse features a handwritten letter from Bernardo Espírito, dated August 10, 1944, indicating their stay in Costa da Caparica, 15 minutes from Lisbon, and their intention to visit Ayrao-Belas. The Portuguese postmark is canceled in Lisbon.
