Description

Interior of a decorated train carriage, with a large table and chairs, displaying excerpts from the newspaper 'Le Matin' announcing the signing of the armistice. The back indicates that the postcard comes from the Musée de Compiègne and mentions the publisher 'Edition'. It is addressed to 'Mme Lefevre' at 'Bois de Doullin, Somme' and bears a postmark from Compiègne dated 27 June 1918.
