Stone white monument of the Virgin Mary holding the Child Jesus, inscribed 'NOTRE-DAME DE LA MER' on the base, located in a rural landscape with a road and a few buildings. Back: printed text 'Les Éditions ARLIX, 10. FOURAS (Char-Mar.) Le Monument de Notre-Dame de la Mer', 15-centime postmark from Fouras dated July 5, 1950, and handwritten address to 'Melle S. Lambert, 34 av. G. de Gaulle, Connavay - Charente'.
