Black and white view of a traditional tiled-roof house located in a green village. The reverse indicates that this is George Sand's house in Gargilesse, in the Indre department, with a description evoking its 'Arcadie' and 'Gaulois' character. The publisher is M. Roussel, photographer of Château-Lux. Postmark of 8 francs 'La Vallée de la Seine aux Andelys' canceled in Argentun-sur-Creuse on September 19, 1955.
