Aerial view of Gruyères, a historic town in Switzerland, with its castle on a hill and its church in the center of the village surrounded by mountains. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated 11 September 1973, sent from Valaÿ, mentioning holidays spent in Gruyères, the heat, the children, and the village's tranquility. The publisher is Photoglob-Wehrli SA, Zurich/Vevey, and the stamp is postmarked in Valaÿ.
