Richly decorated interior of the Blue Room at the House of Victor Hugo in Guernsey, with a large oriental tapestry, a crystal chandelier, a carved sofa, and an oval mirror. The reverse indicates that Victor Hugo lived in exile there between 1856 and 1870 and wrote his major works. Publisher: Jarrold & Sons Ltd, Norwich, England. Stamp and cancellation not visible.
