Luxurious interior of a red-walled salon, adorned with gilded statues, a large botanical-motif mirror, a chandelier, and a carved wooden table. The back indicates that this room, the Red Salon, was donated to the city of Paris in 1927 by the heirs of Victor Hugo, where he spent his exile between 1856 and 1870. Publisher: Jarrold & Sons Ltd.
