Black and white photograph of a Bambara woman wearing a large woven basket on her head, adorned with multiple metal bracelets on her arms and a necklace of beads. On the reverse, a postcard dated 15-6-1955, sent from French Guinea to Paris, with a 15 franc stamp and handwritten French text. The recipient's address is in Paris 17th arrondissement, and the postmark indicates 'PAR AVION'.
