Description

View of a large foreign sailing ship moored at the port of Hamburg, in front of the Overseesebrücke bridge, with a church tower in the background. The reverse features inscriptions in several languages (German, Norwegian, English) and a handwritten letter in French addressed to François Girquemelle in L'Haÿ-les-Roses, dated August 26, 1938. Two German 10 pfennig stamps are affixed, with a Hamburg cancellation.
