Description

Locomotive No. 103, built in 1894 by Sharp, Stewart & Co. Ltd. in Glasgow, was the first of 15 locomotives of its class for freight traffic on the Perth-Inverness line. It was the first 4-6-0 locomotive in service in the United Kingdom and was repainted in 1939. Reverse: printed text describing its history, publisher J. Arthur Dixon, photogravure, and mention of its display at the Transport Museum in Glasgow in 1966.
