View of the medieval castle of Île de Noirmoutier, with its conical towers and stone walls, bordered by trees and a road. Reverse: postcard sent on September 17, 1963, with a 620 franc stamp and a handwritten letter to Mr. and Mrs. Piat in Châteauroux, Indre, mentioning the purchase of a small 'noirmoutière' for Andrée.
