Panoramic view of the Great Glen, between Fort William and Inverness, with snow-capped mountains and a canal in the foreground. The reverse features a handwritten letter in French addressed to Sylvia, signed by Pascal Peyraud, and indicates that the view shows the Caledonian Canal connecting Loch Oich to Loch Lochy, with the bulk of Sròn A' Ghoirebh (3066 ft) in the background.
