Description

Colored view of the Kasuga-taisha shrine in Kyoto, with its characteristic red roofs and a large tree in the foreground. Three people in traditional attire are descending the steps. The reverse side features a handwritten letter in French addressed to Madame Barthe in Paris, a Japanese stamp of 10 and 50 yen, and a postmark 'KYO' dated May 17, 1952. The envelope is marked 'AIR MAIL'.
