Description

Black and white view of the courtyard of the Great Mosque in Kairouan, with two silhouettes wearing djellabas. The central minaret dominates the space surrounded by arcades. On the reverse, a postcard dated May 12, 1956, sent from Kairouan (Tunisia) to Paris, with a 15-centime stamp and handwritten text mentioning the heat and the discovery of the site.
