Night view of the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtniskirche, whose tower is partially destroyed, surrounded by modern buildings. The reverse features a handwritten letter dated December 13, 1884, addressed to Madame Demort in Rilly-la-Montagne, describing the building as a sad remnant of the war, surrounded by modern skyscrapers. Two stamps of 10 and 50 pfennigs are affixed, with a postmark 'Berlin 26.1.85'.
