Description

Aerial view of Sainte-Marguerite Island, with its buildings perched on the cliffs and the Mediterranean Sea in the background. The reverse indicates that the castle was built by Richelieu, reinforced by Vauban, and became a state prison. Postmark of 50 centimes, cancellation from Cannes-Mimont on January 28, 1970, addressed to Henri and Madame T. Braizet in Chauffailles.
