Colorized aerial view of Saint-Raphaël beach, with palm trees in the foreground, swimmers, and a café-epicerie by the water. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated August 27, 1955, sent from Marseille, mentioning admiration for the coastline and the café-epicerie in Aix-en-Provence. Postal stamp of 12 francs 'Jardins de Saint-Pierre' canceled in Marseille.
