Description

Black and white view of the castle of La Guérche-sur-la-Creuse, reflected in the Creuse, with trees in the background. The reverse indicates that the castle was rebuilt under Charles VII in 1450, purchased by André de Villequier, and that Catherine de Médicis stayed there. It is also mentioned that Henri III signed correspondence there. The publisher is Combier (S.-et-L.) and the photograph is titled « Collect all Postcards! ».
