View of the ancient amphitheatre of the Nîmes Arenas under a blue sky, with its stone arcades and imposing structure. On the reverse, a handwritten letter addressed to Madame Amandruss in Paris, dated 1978, sent from Nîmes, with a 0.30 franc postage stamp and a postmark from the 'Feria de Pentecôte'.
